Tom and his wife Gayle have always believed in giving back to the community. Their first involvement was with the construction of the first Ronald McDonald House at the KU Medical Center on Stateline. Not only were they instrumental in the construction work but served on the Board of Directors for 5 years following the completion of it.

Next came involvement in several other projects such as Children’s Place, Ozanam Home for Boys, Access House, a Habitat for Humanity House and along came the second Ronald McDonald House at Cherry Street next to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Again, Gayle and Tom gave hours and hours to this wonderful cause. Now, as we speak, there is a third Ronald McDonald House ready to get underway again by Children’s Mercy Hospital and yes, Tom and Gayle are involved in the fund raising for this great project.
